Where the spirit leads the feet will follow.
Down distant paths for unmapped miles.
Heads forget but hearts remember:
The art of living knows no bounds.

Katmandu

I'm think I'm goin' to Katmandu,
That's really really where I'm goin' to
If I ever get out of here
That's what I'm gonna do

I got no kick against the west coast,
Warner Brothers are such good hosts
I raise my whiskey glass, and give 'em a toast,
I'm sure they know it's true...

Gold Butte National Monument

March 19, 2025 - We did an overnight-er out to Gold Butte in Southern Nevada just to have a look around. It's a long drive out there so next time we will have a 3-4 trip planned to better explore the area. It's beautiful out there and very remote. Dispersed camping allowed.

Candy Cliffs

March 18, 2025 - North of St. George, Utah in the Yant's Flat area.

We dispersed camped near the trailhead, which gave us an early start the next morning so we could get to the Candy Cliffs area as the sun came up. It wasn't a very large area and we were able to hike through and explore the whole thing in about two hours.

Kolob Canyon at Zion NP

March 17, 2025 - We had planned on a long hike on the La Verkin Creek Trail at Kolob Canyon, but when we got up there in the morning they had received about 5 inches of snow.

It's a long hike down in the canyon along the creek, and we weren't that desperate that we felt we wanted to suffer through the cold (and mud later on when it all melted). So we enjoyed the overlook and scenery and took off back down Highway 15 to spend the night at the Candy Cliffs trailhead for tomorrows hike.
