* That Other Mendocino Coast River

A nice tour up the Navarro River. We put-in at Navarro Beach (in strong winds) and paddled up stream to the first set of small rapids where we were stopped by a strong current. We beached and had a fantastic lunch of hot soup, vegetables, and cold champagne.

* Mendocino Coast

We headed over to Liquid Fusion Kayaking in Fort Bragg early this morning to pick up another Dagger Torrent Sit-On-Top whiter water kayak. We ran into Safeway and bought a fresh crab and a bottle of Roederers sparking, then headed south down the coast to the mouth of the Navarro River to see if it was open. It was, so we can plan on coming back in a couple weeks to kayak up the river.

There were a few surfers out, so we spent about a half hour taking picture, had lunch, then headed back home.
