* Lake Tahoe Paddle

From Sand Harbor, we paddled down the east shore for about 2.5 miles, then out into the lake and bee lined it back to the put-in. We started early, but still encountered some 2 foot swells on the paddle back. By the time we had loaded up and were driving back to South Shore, there were white caps and 4 wind waves. Hope all the snuggly bears that slept in and started late got back to their put-ins safely.

Total miles: 4.25

* Silver Lake Kayaking

A leisurely paddle on Silver Lake near Carson Pass in the Tahoe Sierra area. The lake was low with the current drought, but we still had a nice paddle, and stopped for a little trout fishing from shore.

* Grover Hot Springs Camp

We finished off our Fall Foliage trip with a soak at Grover Hot Springs with Carl, Asami, and Myles. We had a great few days camping, soaking, and hiking with these fine friends, and it was sad that it ended so soon. No worries though...we will be back together adventuring again in a few weeks.

Sam & Marcie camped at Grover Campground Sunday night, and journeyed home late Monday morning.
