* Fantasy Girl
I was sitting in a meeting this morning in a restaurant and this came on. It took all I could do to not stand up and start dancing. :) We used to rock to 38 Special back in the day in my old Datsun King Cab truck. Hehe...It was a Southern Rock thaang.
Great memories!

* Cache Creek Overnighter
A quick weekend overnight backpack into Cache Creek near Clearlake California.
From the Judge Davis Trailhead, we hiked into Wilson Valley for an enjoyable camp. Well, maybe not for Milo. He forgot his sleeping bag and spent a chilly night that got down to 39 degrees. With Silo sharing her bag...kind of, he made it through.
12 miles round trip.

* Aarrgghh! King Tide Paddle Cancelled
Packed and Jacked...but the weather moved in and made safety questionable...so the King Tide paddle with Explore North Coast at Arcata was cancelled.
There are a couple other King Tide paddles happening locally, but we decided to stay put and re-plan for tomorrow (Sunday).Planning on heading to the Mendocino Coast to view the tide, eat crab, drink champagne...on a bluff out of the back of our adventure truck.
Update: Minor back injury Saturday afternoon means the weekend at home. Son-of-a-Bitc...

* 2018 - A Year In Review
Our 2018 Highlights
When it all boils down, 2018 was really a fantastic year for us! Milo had a couple eye/sight related issues that slowed us down for a few months, but our loverly daughter and her husband had their first child, and our first grandchild. In June, Baby Bruce was born and that is by far the highlight of 2018.
Other than the two months Milo was out for eye surgeries, we were on the road a lot, seeking out new adventures and revisiting the sports and places we love. So...let's get going...
January 2018
It was a rainy January in NorCal, but we did get in a New Year day paddle, and later in the month an epic paddle that almost covered the length of Humboldt Bay with our buddies up at Explore North Coast.

Horseshoe Canyon
Little Wild Horse/Bell Canyons

Explore North Coast "Thingy"
