In alignment with the CDC's most recent recommendation to wear a cloth mask to help prevent oneself from potentially spreading COVID-19 when a 6 foot separation is not attainable (eg: Grocery Store), we sat down and created our own masks with supplies
we had on hand.

We used two different patterns/procedures we found on youtube with supplies listed below...
- Miscellaneous cloth for front and back layers
- Tyvek vapor barrier for middle layer
- Elastic strips for ear loops
- Pipe cleaner (hot glued) inside for forming fit over nose
- Basic sewing thread
- Sewing machine and basic sewing skills
One simple option is a face cover/wind screen used by motorcyclists. Shown below.
