* Coastal Trail Hike @ Salt Point

Marcie and I did an 8 mile round trip hike on the section of the California Coastal Trail in Salt Point State Park. We hiked from Horseshoe Cove to Stump Beach, then worked our way back by linking up a short section of Highway 1 and a few other trail, a few we had already hiked and a few that were new.

This hike is best done as a car shuttle from Horseshoe Cove to Gristle Cove, which is a little over 4 miles, but the round trip hike is one of the best I have done along the California Coast.

The sky cleared and followed us as we moved South.

Ancient Alien rock formation. As my friend Ross would say... there is no proof that they weren't here.

Crashing waves.

Run away!!
