* Hood Mountain Hike

Marcie and I hiked the Nattkemper/Goodspeed Trail out of Sugerloaf State Park to get to Gunsight Rock and the Mount Hood summit.

Our GPS unit showed the hike as 6.42 miles, but everything I have read says the round trip is anywhere from 7.8 to 9 miles. We didn't loose a signal at any point, so I'm not sure how far we hiked. I am calling it 6.42.

We treated this as a work out hike, so we speed hiked it. A gradual climb for about 2 miles, then steep and rocky to the top. Fun trail!
