* Kodiak Canvas Flex-Bow Tent

We were able to try out our new Kodiak Canvas Tent at Trinidad last weekend. These are very nice heavy duty canvas tents best used as a base camp set-up if you are staying in one place for a few days.

The model we chose was the Flex-Bow VX 10 x 10...

This was the first time we have set it up completely, and it only took us about 20 minutes (in a tight spot).

- Easy set-up
- Very heavy duty
- Very roomy (we used two folding cots)
- A lot of screen netting for views and ventilation (VX Model)
- Easy take-down/pack-up

Camp Splattski!

The only two drawbacks I see at this time with this style of tent are...
1. It's heavy and bulky. We travel mostly with a pick-up truck/camper cap/cargo box, or a Subaru Outback with a cargo box so will have enough room.
2. Drying this tent out after rain/snow will be a chore. During colder months it will have to happen indoors in a spare room. Warmer months it can be done in the garage/driveway.

Drying dew dampness from the Flex-Bow in the garage.
