Redwood Sky Walk

At the Sequoia Zoo in Eureka, CA.

The Sky Walk is rather short, but it is a beautiful sky way and walk in the redwood canopy in a great little redwood park right in the middle of the city of Eureka.

I don't think the Sky Walk and Sequoia Zoo would be the only reason to make a trip to the area. The zoo isn't very big at all. If one was in the Eureka/Arcata/Trinidad area, or just passing through, these are definitely worth having a look. Both for the enjoyment and to support this great community park. More info on the zoo and sky walk below.

A Morning At Gray Lodge

The Gray Lodge Wildlife Area near Gridley, CA in the Sacramento Valley region.

Never been, wanted to go, so we went. We arrived before sunrise and took the 3 mile auto tour route so we could catch sun-up. Another amazing California wildlife refuge! We also did the 2 mile walking tour (Flyway Trail) later in the morning. Both routes are exceptional and worth the trip there. These photos are a combination of the two routes and some could be out of order.

See the Gray Lodge website link below for more specifics on the refuge and for visitor information.
