Tomales Point Hike

At Point Reyes National Seashore.

 

We hiked the Tomales Point Trail out to the point. Lots of wild flowers and wild life. It was also quite windy out towards the point, but that kept it cool.

About 10 miles total round trip.

 

Hike At Lake Sonoma

A seldom used trial on the Yorty Creek arm. About 7.5 miles out and back.

Silo's Retirement Gift

Silo retires early next week, so we had a Four Wheel Pop-Up Camper installed on the new Chevy.

It's a Hawk Slide-in with a front dinette, queen bed, heater, AC unit on top, 2 wide solar panel, tracks for a roof rack, and lots of inside storage. We plan to continue camping off-grid and boon-docking, but this camper gives us the option to pull into an RV park and hook up to electricity and water when we feel like it.

Yes...we plan to be away a lot the next several months. Hike-Camp-Climb-Kayak-Fish!

 

 

 

 

Update: April 12 - We installed a rubber mat to protect and insulate the floor, and then a section of carpet runner for water/dirt/mud protection.

 

 

Dubbing Blend

Dubbing blend for balanced leech fly pattern.

 

I wanted some Firecracker red, but not as much as the Arizona Diamond Dub provided, so I blended it with Hairline Ice Dub in UV Black. I like it.

 

Lake Mendocino Hike

We were up in Ukiah Ca yesterday, so took a ride out to Lake Mendocino the enjoy the sunny day and check on the water level.

4+ mile loop hike.
