* Tomales Bay Paddle and Oyster BBQ
It was a fun, laid back paddle on Tomales Bay with the Marin Canoe & Kayak Club. There were BBQ oysters along with a large spread of potluck type food for lunch.
For the 20 boats and about 25 paddlers, the weather and tides were perfect, the lunch was amazing, and everyone was enjoying a beautiful Fall day on the California Coast.

* Tides & Currents Clinic
We had a great day on San Francisco Bay taking a Tides and Currents/Rough Water clinic from our friends Mike K and Sean F with River and Ocean.
We paddled out to Angel Island for a session of map reading and trip planning. Then, when the Yellow Bluff tide race formed up, played there in the rough water.
I left home without a memory card in my camera, so this is the only picture I have. Mike K photo.

* Avocet Seat Repair
I had to pull Silo's Avocet inside to dry it out and start minor seat repairs after she blew it out last week at Trinidad.
Cleaned up and drying. Need to modify the old seat, glue and re-install before this Saturday's paddle.

* Karmas At lake Sonoma
It's been a while since we had the Jackson Karma RG kayaks out, so we went for a short twirl out at the lake and worked on strokes and boat control. Kind of hard in these boats on flat, still water, but always fun to get out and paddle.
