* Fandango Pass Complete

dangerousroads.org -Fandango-Pass

We had to drive Fandango Pass on our way home from Oregon. It's on dangerousroads.org as one of California's dangerous roads (it's not dangerous...Haha!). It's also the first part of the Modoc Backcountry Discovery Trail (MBDT) that starts at the California border at the North end of Surprise Valley.

We started from the Surprise Valley side just south of the little town of Fort Bidwell. 15 miles up and over to Highway 395 south of the Oregon border. Uneventful, but now when we do the MBDT we can start on Hwy 395.
