In Southern Arizona near the Mexico border. We arrived mid-afternoon and after having a late lunch, walked through one side of the street in downtown. It got late and a lot of the shops were closed so we took off to get closer to the next days adventure.
The coolest shop we came across was the Killer Bee Guy (I found out later they have a store in Tombstone also). They make honey from Killer Bee hives. Their main business is eradicating the invasive Killer Bee (Africanized honeybees from Brazil), which we learned are creating a big problem in Southern Arizona and threatening the native Honey Bees.
When/where possible, they harvest the hives and make a DELICIOUS dark, rich honey.
