Peak climbing in the desert for the New Year holiday
Peak 1 of 4
Sheep Hole Mountain (elev. 4613') DPS #3.11
5.8 miles round trip with 2600 feet of gain. Class 3
The bunk/storage build in our truck continues between heavy rain storms.
The first picture is them sized in and fitted. The second picture is some finish work. Top plates will be fitted today, plus a little more sanding and attaching to truck bed to prevent movement on rough terrain.
I'm not going to try to paint them before our next trip, but everything else should be ready to go in a couple more days.
Working on cabinets and bunks for the back of our adventure truck in the rain. Eventually things got too wet and it was turning into more work then fun...so I stopped for a fire and beer.
A wet Sonoma County/Northern California is a welcome sight though. More rain and snow please!
We got in an early hike along the ridge above Yorty Creek at Lake Sonoma this morning. The low lying fog created a few interesting photo opportunities.
