We made a day trip up to Lassen National Park for some snowshoeing today. The snow conditions weren't very good, but we still had fun with a great group of people.
The plan was to shoe up to Ridge Lakes near the South entrance, but 20+ mph constant wind (with gusts to 30mph) made us change locations. We moved down into the forest along Highway 36 and did about 4 miles on consolidated snow.
